The Shelby GT500 is powered by a supercharged & intercooled 5.4-liter V8 4V engine produced 500 horsepower at 6k-rpm and 480 lb-ft of torque at 4,500-rpm. Transmission is a Tremec TR600 manual, 6-speed, fitted with traction control. The Shelby is finished in black, with black accent interior. Factory equipment includes SVT-tuned suspension that incorporates increased spring, damper, and anti-sway bar rates, while braking is handled by Brembo calipers with 14″ rotors up front. Wheels were been upgraded in 2008 to MRK Mach Black with 10” rears, and 9” fronts. Current tires are Goodyear F1’s size 305/30/ZR20” (rear with date codes 43rd week 2017) & 285/30/ZR20” (front with date codes 44th week 2017).
This GT500 is offered with the original window sticker, manufacturer’s materials, a clean Carfax report including documented service / maintenance history , and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in striking high gloss black with accident and damage free paint and body. The Shelby features custom contrasting solid burnt orange racing stripes and side flames, an aluminum hood with functional vents, fog lights, front lip and trunk lid spoilers, and GT500 insignias. The cars added lighting system features LED multi-colored lights including a strip in the grill and multi-colored halo headlight “rings” both of which can be seen in the photos and videos and can be controlled by a cockpit operated switch with remote.
The interior features front bucket seats trimmed in black leather with embossed Cobra logos and power-adjustment for the driver. Amenities include air conditioning and an upgraded Clarion equalizer, trunk mounted Polk speakers, and an amplifier. A Shelby shifter-lever with a cue ball-style knob has been installed.
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, boost pressure, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates just under 22K miles added since the car was delivered new to the current owner.
