This 1958 Ford Ranchero was purchased by the father of the owner in the 1965 timeframe and reportedly has always been a California car.  Originally delivered to Southern California, the car has been in Northern California for over 25 years.

In 1989 the Ranchero was accepted by the Silverado Concours d’Elegance and the acceptance letter and Vehicle Information Form is included along with other related documents for the 23rd Silverado Concours d’Elegance.

In 1989 the Ranchero underwent a cosmetic restoration and the factory 6 cylinder, 3-speed was changed to the current 352c.i. engine retaining the 3-speed on the column with an overdrive added.  The car was stored shortly after being completed and for the next 25~ years was covered and stored in the owner’s garage.  When it came out of storage, the current owner undertook efforts to return the Ranchero to drivable, usable condition.
