PLEASE NOTE: This is a high quality example of a desirable, very low mileage 50th Anniversary Edition Z06. However, the car is being offered either as an “Off-Road” vehicle, or to out of state / country buyers whose local smog requirements will allow its use.
The car comes from a collection of significant vehicles and was stored insider for several years. It has been recently inspected and passed California’s safety inspection and had any required mechanical attention. The paint is all original and the car is extremely high quality inside and out. Mechanically it is excellent and has no drivability issues.
This is not a Z06 that has been abused, tracked, or raced. It has had the benefit of quality mechanical upgrades including long tube headers, Borla exhaust, improved intake, and adjustments to the computer to improve performance.
The cars adult, responsible owner is liquidating his collection and offering the car in its current excellent condition with the mechanical improvements. The stock components are not including but the tuning instructions for the computer accompany the car.

DETAILS—THIS PARTICULAR 2003 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06
The year 2003 marked the 50th anniversary of the famed Chevrolet Corvette as attested by the special emblems on the hood and rear deck. This also marked the next-to-last model year of the C5 Corvette. The Z06, as the high performance model, came with a 405 hp LS6 engine and a manual 6-speed transmission and was available only as a hardtop. A total of 8,635 Z06’s were built in 2003 and only 1,708 were Millennium Yellow.
THE NUMBERS
– The car bears VIN 1G1YY12S435103180 decoded as follows:
– Sixth digit 1=hardtop (only Z06 body style)
– Eighth digit S=LS6 engine code
– Ninth digit 4=security code (varies)
– Last 5 digits 03180=production sequence
A sticker behind the glove box door identifies the production content of the car. Notable are the following:

CORVETTE HISTORY
The Z06 name finally returned in 2001, for the fifth generation Corvette. Instead of the base model’s 350 horse LS1 engine, it came with a 385 horsepower LS6 engine but buy 2003 the horsepower was increased to 405hp. Instead of having a removable Targa roof, its ceiling was fixed in place for extra rigidity and handling performance. Bigger brakes were fitted, too, along with a titanium exhaust system. In 2004, a carbon fiber hood was bolted on for added lightness. While it wasn’t a Corvette meant for the track like the original Z06 was, it was certainly track-able.
