This 2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS Hot Wheels Edition was car #16 of 52 “Festival” Camaro’s commissioned for the 2013 Indianapolis 500. This car is the actual car (shown in the photos) used for the post-race celebration lap with the race winner, Tony Kanaan and team owner’s Kevin Kahlkoven and Jimmy Vasser onboard. The team, KV Racing with Kevin Kalkhoven as the President, acquired the car, celebrating the race win.
Finished in Kinetic Blue Metallic over black leather, the Camaro is powered by a 6.2 liter V8 mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The car remains in totally stock condition with the factory options as shown on the included window sticker including: the RS Appearance Package, Hot Wheels & Indianapolis 500 badging, a black convertible top, limited- slip differential, 21” black painted alloy wheels with red striping accents wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, 245/40ZR21 (front) and 275/35ZR21 (rear), Brembo calipers and ventilated disc brakes on all corners.
The window sticker reflects a price of over $51K that includes the Hot Wheels package adding $6,995.00 and other options including navigation, adding and additional $1,980.00. The car is offered with the original window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, original bill of sale, and photos of the car on racetrack at the 2013 Indy 500 carrying the race winner, Tony Kanaan and his wife, team owners Kevin Kahlkoven and Jimmy Vasser, and a press representative.
The Camaro was sold to the current owner, the President of a race team with documentation supporting his use of the car and transferred into his personal name in 2019. Current mileage is 7,902 and is documented chronologically by receipts, a clean Carfax, and clear California title in the owners name.
The interior includes black leather seats with red stitching on the seats and steering wheel and multi-color Hot Wheels logs on the front seats. Amenities include power adjustable and heated seats, keyless entry, remote start, cruise control, Chevrolet MyLink with navigation, and heads-up display. In front of the 3-spoke steering wheel fitted with controls is a 185 mph speedometer, a 9K rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel, and coolant temperature. Additional gauges mounted forward on the center console display oil temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The odometer shows 7,902 miles, all of which have been added by the cars one owner.
The sequentially fuel injected 6.2 liter V8 is rated at 400 horsepower with 420 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the 6-speed automatic transmission fitted with paddle shifters and a limited-slip differential. The factory dual exhaust has been retained and no modifications have been made to the engine, exhaust, or any other part of the car.
Maintenance includes the 7,500-mile service performed by the local Chevrolet dealer at 7,504 miles, 398 miles ago, on 1/17/20 including an oil service and vehicle inspection. Warranty recalls for the ignition key and convertible top were completed at 5,508 miles on 9/26/14. A recent safety inspection and smog check have been completed within the past 20 miles and 60 days.

The underside is immaculate reflecting the car accumulating less than 8K California miles having never seen inclement weather. The chassis, suspension and other components are free from patina and all factory original parts remain in place. The engine compartment is equally clean and devoid of modifications. From the topside, there is no visible damage to the front or rear bumpers, or front spoiler/air dam. However, extremely minor “rubbing” can be seen in one of the photos on the underside of the cars front spoiler.
